Our Principles

We value the principles of accountability, honesty and integrity in all aspects of our business. Our policy is to conduct our business in a manner which ensures:

  • transparency of our business policies and practices
  • high standards in all matters relating to health, safety and the environment
  • ethical business practices throughout our operations

We recognise that the involvement of our employees is key to the future success of the business and we have for many years adopted a policy of keeping employees fully informed on all matters affecting them.

We take seriously all feedback that we receive from clients and suppliers alike and endeavour to ensure that any problems are rectified promptly and measures put in place to prevent re-occurrence.

Relationships

We will conduct our business relationships with integrity and courtesy, and honour our trading commitments. Our aim is to build long term relationships with our suppliers and provide support for smaller suppliers. We are committed to trading fairly with all our suppliers, and will communicate our responsible sourcing expectations to them in the areas of health, safety and welfare and good environmental practice.

Health & Safety

The Group aims to provide each employee with a safe place to work. All site locations are required to abide by health and safety regulations and each must submit to regular site inspections and audit. We record all accidents and/or near misses and investigate these to determine if preventative action is required to prevent further accidents. We will ensure a high level of business performance while minimising and managing risk effectively.

Environment

We will take all reasonable steps to manage our operations so as to minimise our environmental impact and to promote good environmental practice. In line with our ISO140001 accreditation we will regularly review our business practices and performance to identify how we can improve our energy efficiency, minimise packaging and reduce water usage, waste disposal and air emissions.

Sustainable Progress

We are committed to improving our performance. We will take into account technical developments, costs and clients’ concerns and expectations in the development and implementation of all new social and environmental policies and procedures. We will monitor our performance and set objectives for improvement.

Supply Chain Management

We wish to encourage sustainability and environmentally sound sourcing and production methods in our suppliers’ manufacturing and delivery processes. To this end we will inform our suppliers of our Environmental Policy and we will inform them that we will look to favour companies with established environmental policies and practices in the allocation of future contracts. We will also aim to use local suppliers and local goods and services, where practicable.
